Beg Me to Slay

I was checking my Twitter feed and saw this review on The Reading Café for Lisa Kessler’s Beg Me to Slay. That evening when I got home I downloaded it to my Nook and immediately started reading. It was like a breath of fresh air.

Even in this day and age I come across books where the lead character is just “too stupid to live.” What a joy to encounter Tegan, who really knows how to take care of herself, but also has to learn how to trust another.

And, oh, my God, I just saw a Solomon Burke “Cry to Me” Dirty Dancing reference. ‘Till next time, all. I gotta get back to the book.
